QR code for a PDF
Link a printed page to a document — a manual, a spec sheet, a brochure, a price list — by encoding the address the file already lives at.
We add https:// if you leave it off.

Two colours blended across the pattern. Keep both dark.
Above 0.15 the pattern thins out and gets harder to scan in print.
PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG, up to 2 MB. Error correction is raised automatically so the code still scans.
A short instruction measurably increases the number of people who scan.
Higher error correction survives more damage but makes the pattern denser.
The standard is 4. Less than that and scanners struggle to find the code against busy artwork.

Worth knowing
- Link to a stable address. If the file is renamed or moved, the printed code breaks.
- Keep the file small. Anyone scanning is on mobile data, and a 40 MB brochure will be abandoned before it opens.
- A landing page that offers the download usually beats linking the raw file: it works on every phone and lets you add context.
