About
Print is permanent.
Decisions are not.
Almost every expensive QR mistake is the same mistake: something got printed, and then the thing it pointed at changed. A menu price. A property that sold. A campaign that moved. A job title. The code is fine — it is the world that moved.
What we build
QRCode by saiberlab is a place to design QR codes that look like they belong to your brand, host what they point at when you have nowhere else to put it, keep them organised once there are hundreds, and find out what actually happened after somebody scanned.
The free tools are genuinely free and always will be — no watermark, no expiry, no account. They run entirely in your browser. We charge for the part that costs us money to run: resolving a redirect reliably, every time, for as long as the thing you printed is still in the world.
A code that does not scan is not a design
Every file is rendered and read back by an independent decoder at four sizes — including a deliberately blurred small render — before you are allowed to download it. If it fails, the download is refused. Plenty of tools will happily hand you a beautiful code that no phone can read in a dim restaurant.
Analytics without surveillance
We never store the IP address of anyone who scans, and we set no cookie on a redirect. Country comes from a database on our own servers, so no third party sees your visitors. Uniqueness is counted with a salt that rotates daily and is never written down, which makes yesterday’s visitors unrecoverable by construction rather than by policy.
Say what is true, including the awkward parts
Dynamic codes depend on our service staying up — so we say so, and we write the failure behaviour into the terms rather than the marketing. Static codes are free and depend on nobody, and we recommend them when they are the better answer.
Nothing dies without warning
A failed payment does not break something you already printed. Dynamic codes keep redirecting for 30 days, then drop to the free plan. Codes over the limit are suspended and show a notice, never a dead link, and are never deleted for non-payment without 30 days’ notice.
Where things stand
QRCode by saiberlab is early. The free browser-based generator, the design engine, the readability gate and this site are live. The hosted application — accounts, dynamic codes, analytics and hosted pages — is built but not yet running on public infrastructure, so sign-up is not open. We would rather say that plainly than take addresses for a waiting list we have not earned.
